This is a collection of patches for Sonic Core's (Creamware) DSP Modular system.
Some of these are useful utilities while others are more elaborate and interesting synthesis tools.
These patches are shareware, feel free to use them any way you see fit in your creations and modify them any way you wish. All patches by Yaron Eshkar aka Faxi Nadu. If you find these useful, spread the word about Faxi Nadu music.

Requirenments:

- At the very least a 6dsp system to access most patches. Prefarbly at least a 12 dsp system to really have fun. Many of the patches are monophonic in concept, but for polyphonic work, you will need LOTS of dsp as some patches are very heavy even in monophonic mode. As a general rule, the bigger the file size the more dsp the patch will likely consume when loaded.

- For All patches:
- Modular 3
- Adern Flexor V1 (1.5)

Highly recommended regardless, download all the available 3rd party free modular modules.

Install:

- Copy the main folder contents to your SFP directory
- If you already have other Faxi Nadu packs on your systen, just extract the folders to the appropriate subfolders. To download more patches visit Faxi Nadu website's synthesis section

This one is a tad smaller than my usual pack as I was working on this pack when I got Mod!V and then again FlexorIII, so i decided to just release these for the benefit of those still with Mod3 and Flexor1.5, already working on a new pack with the extra modules that will be much bigger.

Some of these patches are variations on patches from my other packs, as it was intended at first to be a much bigger collection.

*** Note - the folders in the zip are structured to be extracted into the Modular2 modules/patches folders, so if you use modularIV just make sure you extract to the right places!

Crazy Drum Modular Patch

Built this beast today.

Feed any input, especially constant stuff like a video/movie. this beast will regroove it into slices based on bpm and will open the gate for midi notes you play. if this is not enough, you have that going into a fm module, modulated by two sine oscs. just for overkill, a polyfilter with tons of modes and a nice warm saturation.

Will share it in the next Scope modular patch pack release.

Live at Lab30 Fest in Augsburg, Germany, November 2005.

Nirotic, drifting ambient/exprimental show. Sweeping soundscapes, whispers, vague melodies, chants, and diffused urban sounds drone on hypnoticaly as the listener is taken on a mysterious journey within and without. Elmooht threads a dark and even scary tale, melting the gothic and holy with the futuristic, cynical cold of technology.

Uses Sonic Core Scope Modular, Yamaha DX200, 4 Cassette Tape Walkmans with field recordings of European cities, Scope Synths, Samplers.

Nord Lead Clone and Sherman Filterbank Clone

Faxi Nord Lead Clone with Addons - For Clavia Nord Modular

Pretty close to a mint clone of a Nord Lead, but with additional LFOs, and instead of a gate sequencer, a pattern LFO. Also lacks the chorus and delay effects, but the phaser is in there. The routing of the modulators is a bit different due to the fact I added extra LFOs. Otherwise it is pretty much a Lead. I have also routed all 18 Nord Modular assignable knobs, so even though you will need the pc for editing, you can still do tons to the sound with the knobs. Download Faxi Nord Lead Clone

Faxi Centurion Filterbank - For SonicCore DSP Modular

This one is a Sherman Filterbank clone, without the harmonic links between the filters. I have found a way to implement this, but it makes the patch much bigger and decided it is more streamlined and useful this way. I might post harmonically linked filters in another patch in the future. For this one you also need the Adern Flexor addon pack for SC Modular. Download Faxi Centurion Filterbank
